Hydration is key when traveling – like drinking water before, during, and after a long flight. But while in full summer travel mode, it makes sense to bring along beauty products that will give you a boost – due to the way they feel, smell, or make you look after being trapped for hours on an airplane.
We LaLaScoop’d hundreds of beauty products this year and these are some of our favorite finds to travel with:
Arcona’s Mandarin Brightening Peel
Look no farther for a quick traveling pick-me-up for your face with a 5-minute mask formulated with antioxidant-rich Lycopene and Mandarin extract, so that skin is protected from the aging effects of free radicals. Brighten your complexion and improve uneven pigmentation and dramatically reduce the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with this easy fix.

Elemis Superfood Midnight Facial
This luscious sleeping cream smells so good you almost want to eat it but a few dabs on your face at night is like giving a drink to your skin. The scent alone is a lovely way to fall asleep but after a day of travel the instant hydration overnight is a plus. Perfect for all skin types, this balancing Prebiotic gel-cream works through the night to drench dull-looking skin with an indulgent formula infused with Camu Camu, a well-known source of Vitamin C, and Cocoa Butter which contains Omega 6 & 9 Fatty Acids, known to provide skin with essential moisture.

This silky cream also contains Banana Flower Extract, offering hydrating and Prebiotic properties. Light enough for daily use yet decadent enough to feel like a treat, this bedtime beauty minimizes the visible signs of fatigue that every traveler needs. Wake up looking radiant and moisture replenished.
Elixicure Pain Relief Roll-On
Sore ankle? Sore back? This easy roller plant-based solution with organic menthol and camphor are a nice way to soothe sore muscles after a day on your travel feet. The cooling natural pain relief cream soothes instantly and makes the best accouterment before bed for soreness, stiffness, sprains, pains, bruises, etc. Elixicure also comes in a lavender scent.

Oxygenetix Makeup Foundation
Choose the right shade and this foundation is your perfect travel companion as it smooths out your skin erasing any imperfections and stays on strong – even sweating through a workout. The best is the aloe vera base is breathable while it protects and heals. Exclusive to the brand, caravitae use in Oxygenetix allows your skin to absorb more oxygen stimulating cell production. Also, the foundation is antibacterial and can be worn all day. It goes on sheer but you can build as much as you wish to cover blemishes.

Naked Sundays SPF 50 Glow + Go Lip Oil
Australia’s award-winning SPF skincare for face and body has a line of SPF formulas for everyday use that include vitamin serum, collagen booster, and primer all in one in a clear formula. You might love the SPF Hydrating Glow Mist too, but our favorite product is one that helps protect and plump your pout. The hydrating non-sticky formula is perfect for any sunny vacation as antioxidants like Vitamin C, amino acids, lycopene & Vitamin E help your lips look great and stay protected. Kiss kiss!

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist
If you know Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian BUM BUM cream, then you know the intoxicating vanilla salted caramel scent with hints of pistachio, sandalwood, and almond. Ever since a Coachella Rachel Zoe party, we have been obsessed with the scent. It became a life savior while traveling in Europe as I didn’t want to bring expensive perfume. I ended up spraying it daily on my stinky sneakers and as a body spray refresher during hot travel days. This summer classic Cheirosa 62 was inspired by the Girl from Ipanema and the beach culture of Brazil. It’s the scent people can’t get enough of. Check out the other scents too.

Shiseido Shikulime Gel to Oil Cleanser
A new face wash from Shiseido from the WASO Collection comes in a handy lightweight tube perfect for traveling and removing all the grime and dirt from the day. The clear cleanser washes off impurities and even waterproof makeup easily while leaving skin smooth and moisturized.

Thanks to Shiseido’s Japanese ingredients, find Shikuwasa, a Japanese Lime from Okinawa that supports skin moisture and Safflower Oil and Grape Seed Oil to dissolve makeup and sebum while providing moisture.
Amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask (for hair)
One thing I find when traveling is my hair dries out especially if you aren’t bringing your typical haircare products and relying on travel-size hotel shampoo and conditioner. Bring a small container of this rich and creamy hair quencher or put some into a small container, even an old contact case if you are trying to save space. Ingredients include sea buckhorn with omega 7 found in fish oil and jojoba seed oil. Leave on for 5-7 minutes or use an everyday conditioner to keep your hair from getting summer frizzy and breakable.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths
It’s so easy to become exhausted while traveling and skip washing your face before bed, but an easy solution to remove makeup and freshen your face are these vitamin E aloe cloths that are perfect next to your bed, especially for scrubbing off eye makeup too. They also work well for travel when you need a refresher of your back, neck, shoulders, or face as the packaging makes it perfect to pop one out. You can get 20 cloths for as little as $3.

af94 Multi-Use Lip and Cheek Tint
An easy solution to refresh your face on the go is this all-in-one stick that can be used as lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, contouring, and more. The blendable, buildable cream color stick adds an instant flush of color to cheeks and lips. Halsey’s new makeup line can be found online and at Walmart for less than $10, so you can’t beat the price!

Vital Red Light Therapy at Home (or on the go)
This infrared light device is small enough to stuff in a suitcase to rejuvenate your skin, body, and mind with red light therapy. Popular in LA at studios charging a lot of money to fight acne or stress, this 10-minute session (with glasses on) works on a cellular level – absorbed by your skin, leading to presumably enhanced skin health and healing. Near-infrared light (850nm), penetrates deep into your tissues, muscles, and body for inflammation and hormone support. Wellness benefits include better more restful sleep, increased sex drive, and reduced pain and inflammation. There doesn’t seem to be one reason to not try this pain-free procedure, especially in the comfort of your home or hotel.

WILE Un-Worry Herbal Supplement
This plant-based wellness brand is your quick fix for hormonal imbalance issues or mood swings. Feeling cranky? Feeling angry? Feeling anxious? Feeling like you need to start your travel day with a bit of calm? This unique plant-based formula is an easy solution with a dropful under the tongue or added to water, tea, or your favorite beverage with tinctures like Un-Worry, Un-Anger, and Burnout Relief. There is even a Stave the Crave Chai that reduces cravings and stress eating. Naturopathic is the way to go!

Co-founders (including actress Judy Greer) have created naturopath-formulated supplements, tinctures, and drinks that support hormonal and emotional well-being for “grown” women. And with lost luggage, plane delays, and the unpredictability of travel, this little bottle is perfect to throw in your purse to find your own secret “calm.”
Kristen Ess Hair Ties
We are obsessed with these gold accented hair ties because they look like a bracelet when worn on your arm but also make any up-do hairstyle look a bit more elegant. Find these modern hair clips at Target too.
