Justice Urban Tavern is in a fun location in downtown LA with a generous outdoor patio. Located in the Civic Center district, which also houses the Hall of Justice, LAPD Headquarters, City Hall and other federal agencies, this new fun spot Justice pays homage with some of its dishes and drink names, like the Barrister Burger and the Bench cocktail.
The casual interior of this gastropub has earth tones with stone wall accents, communal bar tables and lounge-style seating. I enjoyed pizza bites, burger samples, grits, chicken wings, artisanal cheeses and meats, and refreshing cocktail creations.
Menu items include grilled cod, warm pastrami, slow cooked short ribbed melt, house smoked wings, deviled eggs and bacon, tuna tartare tacos, black mussels, grilled salmon, pork ribs, and more.
Their signature Barrister Burger is served on a brioche bun with cheese, butter lettuce, roasted tomato, and house-made pickles. You will also want to sample their mac ‘n cheese with crushed BBQ potato chips and fries with spiced ketchup. Please see their menu highlights HERE.
Justice offers 14 craft beers on tap, as well as wines, and all are 100 percent Californian.
