Paul Zahn, Mia Mastroianni & The Best Drink Ever hosted an evening with Passoã highlighting the Porn Star Martini at Bar Next Door in West Hollywood. Brynn Smith crafted three cocktails using Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur. Guests enjoyed light bites by Prince Street Pizza while a soundtrack of disco infused The Sunset Strip’s newest craft cocktail lounge.

What is a Porn Star Martini?

The porn star martini is a passion-fruit-flavoured cocktail made with vanilla-flavoured vodka, Passoã, passion fruit juice, and lime juice. It is traditionally accompanied by a chilled shot glass of prosecco. The cocktail was created in 2002 by Douglas Ankrah.

Why is it called a Porn Star Martini?

According to an interview Ankrah did with The Buyer in 2017, he came up with the name because he thought the drink—with its bright, golden hue—looked like something a porn star would drink.

Viper Room

1 muddled Serrano slice

1/2 oz. lemon juice 

1/2 oz. Lime juice 

1/2 oz. Honey Syrup 

1 oz. Pineapple juice 

1/2 oz. Passoa 

1 1/2 oz. Caravedo Torontel Pisco 

Top with 1 1/2 oz. Peroni Beer and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the crushed ice. Garnish with Pineapple fronds and flowers. 

Sunset Margarita 

1 oz. Lime juice 

1/4 Agave Nectar 

1/2 oz. Passoa 

2 oz. Partida Blanco Tequila 

Rocks glass with ice and Tajin rim and flower

Porn Star Martini 

3/4 oz. Lime juice 

1 oz. Passoa 

1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka 

1/2 oz. passion fruit puree 

Shake up serve into a coupe with passionfruit half or quarter, flower and serve with a side of Champagne (2 oz.)
