Dining at Holiday House in Palm Springs is always a great idea. Step inside the blue and white space donned in colorful art, shelves of books, and a blue neon sign reminding guests that they might be, “Too Dumb for NYC; Too Ugly for LA.” Soak up the mid-century modern vibes here, a perfect Palm Springs design haven mixed with a South of France flair.

While weekend brunch takes a summer break, lunch and dinner are served all year long on the shaded patio. Cool down with a tall Mezcal Bloody Mary loaded with veggies and a cheeky monkey swizzler OR a crisp glass of chilled rose or bubbly from one of their carefully selected varieties.

Grab a seat in view of the mesmerizing palm tree-studded mountainscape and get bougie with a Caviar Bump on mother-of-pearl spoons elegantly presented with flowers and enhanced with an iced Belvedere vodka shot.

The sweet and savory menu complements the wines. Share the Instagram-worthy fresh Shellfish Plateau or indulge in the Cochinita Pibil Benedict, Dutch Baby pancakes (sweet or savory), Fried Chicken and Waffle, and Ricotta-Stuffed French Toast with bourbon caramel sauce. You can’t make a bad choice.

Salads, burgers, and even a lobster roll make an appearance on the daily menu. Ginger creme brule and a round of cookies are always a happy ending.

Executive Chef Jon Butler is now helming the kitchen here and at Sparrows Lodge. Join him in October when the annual family-style Fried Chicken Dinner dinner resumes on Wednesdays.

Happiness is dining at Holiday House, where a colorful beaded necklace is left at your plate, another reminder of the joy you will feel here as you finish your satisfying meal.
