Time for Tea at The London West Hollywood

An Afternoon Tea at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills is a lovely way to spend a girls brunch, a date, or time with your little one. Tis the season to spice up the holidays with special memories. The London Hotel is proud to honor its English roots working closely with the world-renowned Henrietta Lovell, founder of the Rare Tea Company, offering the traditional ritual known as afternoon tea.

Available on weekends from 12:30 – 3:30 this extravagant tea ceremony is like transporting oneself to London, as the experience features an over the top tower array of tea sandwiches, scones, and cakes and pastries. Tea selections might include fun options like Butterfly Pea Flower and Lemon Verbena, where the color changes when mixed or Fantastic Mushroom, Wild Mountain, or a chilled berry tea.

During the fall we experienced the Wicked Witches Afternoon Tea, a seasonal twist on the hotel’s beloved Afternoon Tea celebrating Halloween and the release of the long-anticipated Wicked movie. Although traditionally held inside, we noshed on tea sandwiches on the sunny rooftop with a glam Hollywood Hills backdrop paired with surprises like the Signature Wicked cocktail featuring green chartreuse, gin, and maraschino. Indulgent sandwich bites included beautifully prepared Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraiche in Black Brioche; Crab Toast with Green Chili, Dill, and Lemon Aioli and Apple Roasted Chicken on Onion Profiteroles.

My favorite treats were the luscious warm flakey scones paired with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry preserves. We continued our tea feast with sweet treats like Ube checked Mousse Cake, green Wicked Witch Macarons, The Good Witch Meringue Tart, Poppy Fields Shortbread Cookie, and Flying Monkey Frozen Chocolate Soufflé donned with popcorn.

Stay tuned for more themed Afternoon Tea Service. Check out the current Tea Menu Ritual offerings and make your reservations here.
