Get away to the 17th annual White Wine Festival in Anderson Valley

The 17th annual International White Wine Festival kicks off this February 15 and 16, 2025.

Take a break from LA and enjoy a reprieve from our city’s challenging times. Escape the daily reminders of fire season, inhale some fresh air, and relax – in the vineyards of Anderson Valley, two hours north of San Francisco. The Winter White Wine Festival is the premier food and wine event in Northern California focused on white and sparkling wines.

Savor local music and farm-to-table culinary delights. Walk the land, converse with local winemakers (several hailing from Napa), and spend the day touring vineyard estates. It’s never a better time to leave the hectic city life to delight in the land of grapes. Book your tickets HERE.

While Anderson Valley may be known as a Pinot Noir powerhouse, the area’s roots began in Alsatian white wines like Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris. Recently, cool climate Chardonnay, Burgundian-style, is making a statement in this charming wine valley. And, just around the corner, Sauvignon Blanc is sneaking up and several wineries in the eastern part of this region have the Bordeaux varietal, and some are planting more. But save room for the hidden local gem – White Pinot Noir – that has flavors crossing over between red and white grapes. It’s a great time to savor and explore white wine in Anderson Valley!

Extend your stay on the Mendocino Coast, just a quick drive away, at one of these amazing boutique hotels – Elk Cove Inn, The Inn at Newport Ranch, Brewery Gulch Inn and Spa, MacCallum House, or the Stanford Inn.

The Grand Tasting will feature around 40 wineries from Northern California and special wines and guests from around the world, each offering their finest white wine selections. Enjoy an array of gourmet food bites, crafted to pair perfectly with the wines, alongside the talents of local musicians. On Sunday, wineries will open their doors and welcome guests to dive in a little deeper and explore.

February is a magical time in Anderson Valley, with spring flowers beginning to bloom and bright green hillsides that create a stunning backdrop for a weekend of wine exploration. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or new to the world of white wines, this festival is an unparalleled opportunity to discover, taste, and celebrate white and sparkling wines in one of California’s most picturesque settings.
