The beloved handcrafted sandwiches – made with premium Italian ingredients, on in-house daily-made schiacciata bread – delivers the ultimate sandwich experience. I have memories of being in Florence, downing a stuffed grand sandwich purchased from a deli window, that I carried around while walking on the street. I thought how could something this incredible not exist in the US. The Italians always seem to do it better, which is evident in their hyperlocal produce and meats. As an Italian girl, I crave ingredients like eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, and pistachio, but often you don’t see those Italian staples on a sandwich in the US.

At All’Antico Vinaio, every sandwich is a masterpiece concocted in front of you. I’d like to say, “From Florence with Love.” Sandwiches feature creamy Pecorino and truffle spreads, savory Prosciutto Toscano, artichoke cream, Mortadella with Pistachio Cream, and more.

“Opening in Santa Monica feels like a true California moment for us. The city’s sunshine, energy, and love for great food make it the perfect place to share our sandwiches.” said Tommaso Mazzanti, CEO and founder of All’Antico Vinaio, who continues his family’s tradition of Florentine sandwich-making. “We’ve seen such enthusiasm for All’Antico Vinaio in Los Angeles and opening on the Westside gives us the opportunity to share our authentic flavors with even more people”

While the first shop began with 6 sandwich options, today’s menu includes over twenty options. Sandwiches are often big enough for 2 meals. Popular selections include the La Faviolosa, La Schiacciata Del Boss and La Toscana, along with specials unique to each new location.

Founded in Florence, Italy in 1991, by the Mazzanti family, All’Antico Vinaio passionately runs three Florence locations that draw tourists and locals alike. It has grown into an international sensation, earning acclaim from food critics and travelers worldwide. The brand has been hailed as the “home of the world’s best sandwiches,” drawing long lines of devoted fans wherever it opens.

Tommaso Mazzanti joined the family business and opened the first store outside of Florence in Milan, Italy. His sandwich, the Schiacciata la Favolosa, prepared with Sbriciolona (typical Florentine salami), homemade Pecorino cream, Artichoke cream and fried eggplant, has been hailed as one of the best sandwiches in the world.
