Part of the 21st edition of the Los Angeles Italia Film, Fashion, and Art Festival and kickoff to the Oscars, the Fasting and the Longevity Revolution premiered March 11, 2026 at the TCL Chinese Theater.
The film brought together three Academy Award nominees: Edward Norton as narrator, Barry Brown as director, and Chiara Tilesi (Frequency Production) as producer.

Inspired by the groundbreaking research and bestselling books of longevity scientist Valter Longo (Director of the Longevity Institute), a globally recognized expert in nutrition, longevity, and aging, the documentary presents a compelling exploration of the science of fasting and its impact on health and aging. Through expert insights, rigorous scientific evidence, and powerful patient testimonials, the film examines how dietary interventions and fasting may help extend healthy lifespan, support the prevention of age-related diseases, and reshape the way we approach aging.
Presented with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles and the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, all proceeds from this documentary will benefit Dr. Valter Longo’s Create the Cures foundation, committed to educating children about healthy nutrition and lifestyle and helping treat patients with advanced stage diseases, including those who cannot afford treatment.

After the premiere and screening, a Q&A was held in the theater featuring Professor Valter Longo, Edward Norton (Narrator of the film), Director Barry Brown, and Producer Chiara Tilesi moderated by Anna Magzanyan, President of LA Times Studios. In addition, Raffaella De Laurentiis (Festival Chairperson) presented the team with the LA Italia Excellence Award during the panel presentation.
Prior to the red carpet premiere, L-Nutra hosted a VIP cocktail mixer at the nearby Library Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel to honor the work of Valter Longo, who is also the Founder of L-Nutra and scientific advisor to the company. The event featured key executives from the company including CEO Dr. Joseph Antoun, media and wellness & lifestyle experts.

Guests included Mira Sorvino, Kendra Wilkinson, and a packed house of VIP guests interested in improving their wellbeing and longevity. The film credited the blue zones and centurians of the world – showcasing their diet and exercise habits along with how Americans are bombarded with food options wherever we turn, most often unhealthy as we are not a farm to table country but a “farm to truck to table” country.
Most people leaving the film were discussing how they wanted to try the 5 day fasting mimicking diet offered by L-Nutra to reboot their cells as studies have shown in some instances, fasting can starve cancer or tumors. Even director Barry Brown stated on the red carpet that he completes the 5 day fasting mimicking program three times a year.
