On October 16th, 2013, American Idols Kimberly Caldwell, Elliott Yamin and Blake Lewis, along with celebrity director and choreographer Brian Friedman and model/actress Jonna Walsh, rocked the runway with out of sight dance moves. iiJin’s collection is influenced by some of pop culture’s biggest icons such as Michael Jackson, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper, whose music and fashion have transcended the 1980’s and have stood the test of time.

iiJin (pronounced E-jean) straight from Hong Kong, dazzled our senses with neon socks, youthful prints, crazy street wear, lace, florals, booty shorts, high waisted shorts, trendy track suits, and flashy bright colored sneakers and boots with studs and thick soles to make you at least 3 inches taller or more. I couldn’t stop moving as the 80’s tunes belted out and the runway was alive with stomping moves, from break dancing to Danni G (from famed cirque troupe Lucent Dossier Experience) spinning round and round inside a large metal hula hoop ring.

The clothes could be described as bubble gum pop with their flashy colors and large flashy labels with names and sayings like “Holy Cow”, “SWAG” or “POW.”  The collection also features cartoon characters and graffiti work by famed visual artist Cassian Lau combined with sassy slogans that pop against bold and bright colored crop tops, tank tops, T- shirts and hoodies. The collection includes floral print bustiers, skinny jeans and dresses, sequined neon lounge pants and tops and biker chic rock n roll attire.
