LaLaScoop Ladies hanging out at Air Aerial Fitness for ClassPass WeHo Launch celebration

With a whopping 60 boutique fitness studios on tap in WeHo alone, ClassPass LA couldn’t help but celebrate! Last night we indulged in the “sweaty life” with a WeHo launch event at Air Aerial Fitness, a new fitness modality craze that is spreading across the West Coast at a fast pace. Perhaps a bit giddy from lack of sleep, Melissa Curtin (co-founder of LaLaScoop) and I were seriously cracking up throughout the whole class, as we swung, hung and levitated inside the nylon bands that suspended from the ceiling. The moves at Aerial originate from yoga, Pilates, ballet, Barre, and more. So, it offers a fun way to break up your fitness routine that won’t leave you at a total loss as to how to move your body. Working the band does take some getting used to, but that’s actually the fun of it. It all felt reminiscent of my days of hanging upside down and swinging from the monkey bars back in the days of good ‘ol elementary school. But I’ll bet after some dedication, one could tether out the possibility of working the nylon like a Cirque de Soleil acrobat. Catch founder, Shama Patel (who only began her company a mere 4 years ago) on the Steve Harvey Show today on NBC at 3:00PM. Harvey even gives it a go himself!

ClassPass has not even been in LA for a year now, and already they’ve accumulated a massive amount of boutique studios for its members to choose from and experience each month. For a mere 99 bucks per month, a ClassPass fitness fanatic membership enables you to mix up your workout routine across the city of LA, which only makes the body and soul stronger. It’s a fantastic means to switch up what you ask your body to do, therein keeping your body from plateauing by stimulating new muscle movements, activating your brain to do so, and just simply keeping you smiling from the opportunity to vary your experience from week to week. If you find yourself truly loving a particular studio, you can indulge in a repeat visit of any studio up to 3 times a month and bring a bit of consistency into your exploration. Plus, there is no pressurized commitment to continue with a ClassPass membership from month to month. You can give it a shot, love it, leave it, love it again later. It’s up to you. But, we know you’ll want to keep loving it. We do! Check out ClassPass CEO and founder, Payal Kadakia, talking all about her incredible fitness concept with ABC News with Rebecca Jarvis at 11AM today.

ClassPass always celebrates in style. After the craziness of our Aerial class at the WeHo launch last night, we headed outside to sip on a bit of bubbly, nosh on a KIND bar, sample Zico’s new coconut water infused with yummy juices, perused the new super soft and sporty stylish Alternative Apparel fitness line (complete with elegant terry cloth towels to soak up all that will inevitably pour from your pores when you join the ClassPass “Sweaty Life”). We got our “hair did” by the GlamSquad and of course got silly on the ClassPass “red carpet!” We even left with an adorable FURLA bag , a gift certificate to help us get into some super hip fitness gear from Carbon38, and other sweet ClassPass swag. We had a blast! Join the ClassPass craze! And, “Live the Sweaty Life!” You’ll absolutely love it!
