Never Leave LA

Toys for Tots at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills

Tis the season to be merry and giving. What better way to make sure a child feels good on Christmas morning than to bring toy donations. While many people will celebrate this holiday season, some families are struggling to find shelter and to get their basic needs met in LA.

The beautifully holiday decorated Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills invited hundreds of guests last week to be part of their annual Toys for Tots Program, a foundation created by the U.S. Marine Corps where new, unwrapped toys are collected each year, and distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. As we meandered through the lavish hotel corridors filled with festive lights and garland, the Marines greeted us and piled the toys from each guest into a massive sleigh, each gift promising hope for a child.

Hotel general manager Mehdi Eftekari is behind this good cause since he is responsible for starting the involvement with the Marines’ organization over nineteen years ago, when he was at the Newport Beach Four Seasons, and then brought it with him when he moved to the Los Angeles location.

Guests danced the night away to a live band as hundreds frolicked from food station to food station enjoying carefully crafted endless bites, like sushi, veal, steak, sausage pasta, and scallops. Cocktails flowed as guests glittered in holiday garb. The dessert station was so mind blowing with the endless array of choices, from tiramisu to a cream puff bar with toppings, to creme brûlée spoonfuls with nuts.
