La Vie Boheme Yoga co-founders and designers, Michaela Moryskova and Yvette Charlton, filled the lobby and studio floor of Modo Yoga in West Hollywood with their gorgeous line of travel-inspired yoga mats and more on February 12, 2015. The two met back in 2006 and instantly bonded over their love for experiencing new places and people around the world and a bohemian modus operandi, which soon thereafter inspired their incredible yoga line designs that emanate the same mutual loves.
Editors, taste makers, bloggers, and fitness lovers alike swarmed around their artistic mats and ogled over the new complimentary yoga apparel and towels, slated to come out in the spring. This was La Vie Boheme Yoga’s first hot yoga event in Los Angeles, and Modo Yoga LA was the perfect venue. The high wood-rafter ceiling towers over the expansive wood floor with mirrors stretching from side to side. Modo Yoga teacher, Joe Komar, graciously greeted all of us individually and collectively as we lined up our colorful La Vie Boheme mats, and then lead us through a calming hot yoga session. We flowed through a series of asanas and unique transitions with his specific step-by-step verbal adjustments and positive encouragement. It was a lovely, lovely evening, that quickly and permanently erased any stress from the grind of the day and drive.
Sipping fresh juices provided by Clover Juice, which is literally connected to Modo Yoga by a glass door, was a perfect way to culminate the experience. Refreshing, tasty, cold pressed and packed with nutrients, Clover Juice, is on my top two list among our overwhelming plethora of juice options in the city. We also enjoyed Rawnola bars for a replenishing, raw food, energy boost provided by Earthling Organics. And, we left with a fantastic fitness and beauty gift bag including goodies by BareEscentuals, The Honest Company, Shea Moisture, Organic India, Without Walls, Joico, Priv, and of course La Vie Boheme Yoga.
