You may have seen Los Angeles-based actress Mara Marini on NBC’s hit show “Parks and Recreation” as adult film actress Brandi Maxxxx. Catch her soon on ABC’s new show “Black-ish.” Mara’s character on “Parks and Recreation” was named as #16 on Buzzfeed’s list of “Best Recurring Characters.” On February 24 she will appear on the Canadian CBC show “Schitt’s Creek” with Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy.

Mara also has her own digital dating series on  Playboy.com called “It’s a Match with Mara Marini,” which she wrote and produced. A few weeks ago Mara was a guest on SiriusXM’s “Dirty Pop with Lance Bass” and  Playboy Radio’s “Mansion Mayhem” and “Playboy Advisor.”

Mara Marini found some time to give us her La La Scoop.

Q: What work accomplishment are you most proud of?

A: I would have to say working on ‘Parks and Recreation.’ It has just been such a phenomenal experience from start to finish. I had the opportunity to work with Amy Poehler – who I’d idolized from afar; among other comedy legends and I just learned so much from being around her and the rest of the talented cast, directors, writers and crew.

Q: Why do you think you were BuzzFeed’s top recurring character?

A: I think fans of the show developed an affinity for Brandi Maxxxx because of her unwavering support and love for Leslie Knope. She has a big heart, is very open and it helps that the writers endow her with some of the most hilarious lines.

Q: What do you like the most about LA? 

A: The sunshine! And that I can keep a bikini in my car and head out to the ocean on a whim.

Q: How long have you lived in LA?

A: Since I was 19.

Q: Who would you like to meet in LA, that you haven’t met?

A: It’s a tie! Betty White and Dolly Parton.

Q: Who is your LA crush or celeb crush?

A: The Rock – Dwayne Johnson.

Q: What is your favorite LA workout spot? 

A: Hiking up Runyon and Equinox on Sunset.

Q: What is your favorite LA restaurant?

A: Picca and Bestia tie for the win! But I have a list of LA restaurants in my phone’s note section that I am constantly referring to when deciding where to go. I also go to El Compadre a LOT.

Q: What is your favorite secret LA spot?

A: Wolvesmouth. It is such a cool concept and an amazing experience.

Q: What is your favorite vacation spot?

A: My parents live on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. So, I would have to say that is a big fave for me. It is just so peaceful and fun over there. All my worries melt away.

Q: What artists are you currently listening to?

Drake’s new album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. I also have a Drake Pandora Station that I am constantly listening to as well as YG, Migos, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz stations I alternate in between.

Q: What is your favorite chill place in LA?

A: Depending on the day/night, I’ll pop over to Library Bar in the Roosevelt or sit by the pool if it isn’t a weekend, The Woods on La Brea, No Vacancy on Hollywood and Hudson, Moonshadows and Cafe Habana in Malibu, Simmzy’s in Manhattan Beach, Perch downtown.
