November marked our two-year anniversary of LaLaScoopin’ the Best of Los Angeles in charity and style, fashion and beauty, restaurants and nightlife, health and fitness, cultural entertainment, and much more. Our site is a passion project combining our love of our home city Los Angeles with our love of writing and discovering what we think is newsworthy in a constantly evolving megalopolis.
Although both Rochelle and I wrote about LA Lifestyle for other publications for many years prior, LaLaScoop has evolved as a place where we could create our own rules and choose what we felt makes Los Angeles special without constriction on topics and angles. Our site is a reflection of what inspires us, how we see LaLaLand, but also our constant joy of discovering and covering an ever evolving American city. Living here has helped us transform and grow in ways we couldn’t imagine. Our goal is to inspire you to take advantage of all that Los Angeles has to offer.

The first weekend in December we celebrated our hard work by throwing a Sunday Bubbly. We wanted to acknowledge how we have grown as a site AND gather many of our favorite sponsors and Angelenos who have supported us both personally and professionally, whether it be other bloggers, editors, companies, restaurants, or other PR teams we have worked closely with over the years. Also, LaLaScoop paired with another LA lifestyle publication, Identify LA founded by Meagan Sargent to celebrate her one year anniversary.

Fashion blogger Rachel McCord was kind enough to let us use her amazing residence on the Sunset Strip complete with swanky lounge and rooftop pool. Moet & Chandon, the world’s best champagne, created signature drinks for guests with the new Moet Ice Imperial, such as LaLaDreaming (mint, green chartreuse, luxardo maraschino liquor, and lime juice) and LAFizz (st. germain, blueberries, lime juice). The refreshing all natural antioxidant beverage Bai offered guests healthy no sugar drink options, like Sparkling Pear or Jamaica Blood Orange while engaging our friends with photo booth moments that allowed guests to print their Instagram pics immediately. #drinkBai

Thanks to our favorite floral company that delivers fast and fresh flowers straight from a volcano in South America, Bouqs.com adorned our Sunday space with yellow roses while Yalla Mediterranean kept guests satisfied with their various dips and pita chips platters. Rocky’s Ginger Beer was the perfect refreshing kick too.

Writers, blogger, PR mavens, and Hollywood socialites connected with old and new friends while toasting our anniversaries. Hollywood stars like actress Vanessa Angel and Emily Elicia Low enjoyed manicures from KarmaCoats, while the sweet tooths headed over to the dessert bar catering company Sugar & Spyked for a sampling of alcohol-infused marshmallows.

Guests took home gift bags with super soft T-shirt designs with adorable sayings from Good hYOUman, jeweled earrings from B. Foxy, a coupon from The Face Bar founded by Tricia Dikes, and many more coupons and treats.
At times our social media veers off course (due to my love of travel and Rochelle Robinson’s love of yoga), but we have continued to make it a goal to discover and cover what makes Los Angeles one of the most dynamic cities in the world. Thank you for following our ride on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. If you come across something unique that you think deserves more LaLa attention, please let us know by @LaLaScoop on Instagram or emailing us at Melissa@LaLaScoop.com or Rochelle@LaLaScoop.com.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to celebrate our two year anniversary. Hope to see you around LaLaLand. Please hashtag photos #LABubbly #NeverLeaveLA #LaLaScoop, in case we missed them.
