Never Leave LA

Dock and Dine at Killer Shrimp

Sip a cocktail on the water or pull up your boat at the Killer Shrimp dock. Killer Shrimp is the only place in LA that offers dock and dine in Marina Del Rey. The restaurant and bar were packed with LA’s diverse mix on a Thursday around 7 PM.

Known for their Killer Shrimp bowl, the zesty broth with shrimp can be accompanied by even more seafood like lobster, corn, and crab. Watch out for that spicy broth (I mean later, wink wink) and leave room for dipping and soaking the French bread in those ten hours of simmering juices. The shrimp is cooked and added to the sauce when ordered, served piping hot. Indulge. Watch the sunset. Order a cocktail.

Opt for a table outside on the Harbor patio with glass enclosures and cozy heaters. Start with an app like the Crab and Artichoke Dip, the Aguachile, Steamed Mussels, or even Lobster Mac n Cheese. Every Monday in the bar enjoy a Killer Shrimp bowl for only $9.95 or on Tuesdays in the bar enjoy a half dozen oysters on the half shell for $8.

Not in the mood for seafood? Steak and salad are also available, but we suggest sticking to their specialty. We recommend several cocktails to enhance your mood for only $12. The Shrimp Killa features Atlantico Reserve Rum with Coconut Cream, Pineapple Juice, and Grated Nutmeg. The Dark n’ Stormy includes Gosling’s Black Seal Rum charged with Ginger Beer and Fresh Lime.

End your night with dessert, of course. Split the killer S’mores layered in a mason glass jar with a toasty marshmallow on top and scoop the Fresh Baked Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie with Vanilla Bean ice cream and hot fudge. Stay for the killer marina views while devouring the Killer Shrimp.

Killer Shrimp is not only located in Marina Del Rey, but can be found in Hermosa Beach and Las Vegas.
