Let’s face it. Cleanses are hard. Really hard sometimes. Not only do you not eat, you’ve got to drink, and drink a lot. And sometimes, oye, there are a few of those juices, although put lovingly into your “to-go” package that might just hold a bitter heart. You know, the ones upon opening that you’re tempted to plug your nose for, chug really fast or just try to pass up until the end… and then the end is, well, only maybe perceived as accomplished with a stretched gratitude for at least the healthy nature of it. Well, at Heart Beet in Seattle… it’s just all gushy loving yumminess that is created and put into every single jar. Smiles abound with every sip. Yum! Yum! Yum! And, you get to make a choice each day right before they create the cleansing juices for you. I sampled each and every one through my three-day cleansing experience and there wasn’t one I didn’t like. My TopFav has to be Northern Light made from apple, basil, lime, cilantro, celery, and ginger. It’s light, refreshing, and goes down oh so easy! So easy, I ordered two for my last day. And, of course the fresh coconut water and the Mystic Kambucha is a necessary indulgence. Plus, the fabulously large mason jars,  snuggled into a great little ice bag, are yours to keep. Fun stuff to keep pumping the goodness of vitamins, minerals, and good ‘ol H20 into a healthy you.
When I asked Monika Kinsman, proud owner of Heart Beet Superfoods Cafe (formally known as Thrive) and 3rd generation entrepreneur, what her concept was behind the cleanse she relayed, “The juice cleanse program started when I did a 10 day juice cleanse myself at home and experienced juicing firsthand… while the effects of the program were amazing, I added up all the “logistics” time and realized it was nearly 2 hours a day… from shopping for produce, to making the juice (that took the longest), to cleaning the juicer. Add on top of that the cost of the (mostly) organic ingredients… and wow, that was it. I decided my restaurant needed to offer the juice cleanse program. It’s hard enough to muster the motivation to do a cleanse and then STICK TO IT! So I figured if we can make the logistics of the juice cleanse EASY, it would make it easier for more people to be successful at doing it!”
So, go pick it up! Drink it down (but not too fast).. Oh my!!’
