It’s hard to believe that the 2017 Emmy Awards breezed in and out last weekend – the first of an ever-exciting awards season! And I got to kick it all off with my friend Debbie Durkin at her exclusive ECOLUXE Lounge Pre-Emmys Party!
On Friday, September 15th, celebs stepped from the red carpet into ultimate luxury in The Beverly Hilton‘s newly renovated Wilshire Garden. Surrounded by lush greenery, this private, quiet retreat was the perfect setting for the fabulous affair.
The party featured a gourmet feast, flowing champagne, and many notable television celebrities talking fashion, soaking in the sun, and socializing before the big awards day. Spotted taking in the glamour of the afternoon were Tara Reid, French Stewart, Ross Maraquad, Clark Germain, Kathreen Khavari, Christy Statton, Scott Michael Campbell, and Kim Estes, to name a few!

I spent my delicious lunch chatting with the fabulous Trisha Rae Stahl and lovely Brooke Anne Smith, the stars of TLC’s first scripted series, Too Close to Home, written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry. Looking upon the Carus Recovery Media Center, hosted by Gretchen Rossi, we talked about how Smith portrays a character struggling with a severe drug addition. She revealed that her character is a compelling anti- role model for young women. But the pair’s strained mother/daughter relationship on the show certainly does not reflect their sweet relationship off camera. They were a joy to spend time with!

But it wasn’t just the TV stars who made the afternoon so exciting… The whole garden was lined with fantastic product booths by luxury brands like ZO Skin Health, Liv and B Designs and Artisan Jewelry, Up Yours Chin Up Mask, Chef Turok Marscapone Cheesecakes, and Triumph Hotels NYC. I was gifted with a pair of beautiful gold rhinestone headphones by Bass Buds from the UK, and my favorite luggage brand, Chariot Travelware, showcased their gorgeous new sparkly pink and blue line. I’ll definitely keep using my Chariot luggage to travel to my shows in NYC, my songwriting trips to Europe, and up to Sundance again this coming winter – where I’ve heard the ECOLUXE Lounge is going to be even more amazing than ever!

It was the perfect afternoon celebrating the Emmys… even Santa Claus was seen roaming around! And to top it all off, the party contributed to an important cause – Autism Changes organization, promoting Autism awareness. Thanks again to amazing host, Debbie Durkin, for a fabulous afternoon celebrating the 2017 Emmy Awards!
