Beautify your locks at Bomane Salon in Beverly Hills
Bomane Salon in Beverly Hills is like stepping into an exclusive private art studio where you are greeted with champagne and wowed with the airy light space and splashes of bold art painted all over the salon. The stunning salon space with various types of crystals for energy and positive flow built into the walls, was founded by Andrea Jaclyn and Sonny Henty. Salon services include blowouts, style, color, cut, highlights, extensions, and more. As with all LA salons, different stylists charge different prices so check out the various options on their site.
Of course, the salon’s privacy has quickly made this salon a favorite among celebs (Kesha, Meghan Trainor, Stacy Keebler, Felicity Huffman, Sharon Stone, Lisa Vanderpump) especially when you can enter and exit through a private door. My sweet adorable stylist Janna Velasquez made me instantly feel comfortable as we discussed my need for a shaping trim before my wedding, and my desire to experiment with a beach-y naturally wavy hair wedding look. Janna dry cut my hair for precision making sure each tress was angled to perfection. When she is not working on set, you can find Janna at Bomane where she specializes in hair extensions, men and women’s haircuts, and color. After more than ten years in the hair and makeup business I asked expert stylist Janna Velasquez a few questions:
Q: What are some recent hair trends you are noticing?
A: For color this fall, I am seeing rooted blondes, golden, warmer tones, rich brunettes, peakaboo highlights with depth and subtle sunkissed vibes. For cut, the fall trends are rounded bobs, bardot inspired bangs, and long layered shags.
Q: How do you keep colored/highlighted hair healthy?
A: I always love implementing a leave-in hair conditioner paired with an oil and hair milk to ensure hair stays healthy. We carry the Davines brand at the salon and the “Oi” line has a wonderful hair oil and hair milk and it smells dreamy! I top it off with their “DEDE” leave-in conditioner. I also always recommend my clients get one of Davines’ great moisture treatments along with their color service when they come in to visit.
Q: What are some of your favorite haircare products?
A: Other favorite hair products are Davines.
-Dry Texture Spray
-Oi shampoo and Conditioner
-Shine wax
-MOMO hair potion
Q: Who has influenced you in your work environment?
A: I have to bring that one back to my time in hair school. One of my main instructors at Toni & Guy, Anna Seraj. She was the quintessential “cool” teacher that really supported her students and helped nurture the beginning stages of my creative expression as a young hair stylist. She still inspires me and we’ve remained close friends. I’m also blessed to work alongside some of the most gifted artists, every day at Bomane. Their talent , commitment and desire to assure every client that comes in our doors, leaves a happier version of themselves, inspires me day in and day out!
BOMANE Salon, meaning “beautiful hair,” serves clientele from Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and the highly sought-after surrounding areas. BOMANE represents an emotional connection between the client and the stylist, one that personifies the delicate balance of trust and confidence when it comes to a superb and one-of-a-kind haircare experience.
