Equinox Sports Club LA held a complimentary workout class on its rooftop hosted by author and trainer-to-the-stars, Jennifer Cohen, on August 8, 2018 to celebrate her official book launch, Badass Body Goals. The event brought out fitness driven women for a badass body sculpting cardio driven workout led by Cohen followed by a book signing and meet-and-greet. Cohen has been a spokesperson and consultant for brands like Weight Watchers, KIND Bars and Muscle Milk and the go-to trainer for celebrities including Britney Spears, J.Lo, and many others. She has been named in “Greatest 100 most influential people in Health and Fitness” and “#16 Most Impactful Fitness Entrepreneurs” on Web MD.

Erik Johnson, of TRUWOMEN, was on site with plant fueled protein bars. The LA-based nutrition company has set out to “create a product to satisfy the flavor craving of a treat like a candy bar, cake or cookie without the empty calories and junk.” Flavors include Daydreaming About Donuts, Oh Oh Cookie Dough, Smother Fudger Peanut Butter and Zamn Good Zesty Lemon protein bars. I tried the “Oh Oh Cookie” and as a chocoholic/sweet tooth lover, I can say it was delicious and didn’t leave that weird aftertaste like most other protein bars.

Eat Naked LA, founded by Fernando Restrepo, was on hand to fuel your post workout needs. The healthy meal prep service, based out of North Hollywood, fully allows you to customize your meal prep while keeping your allergies and portions in mind. They just launched Juice Naked LA and can deliver within 80 miles of the LA area.

GoldynGlow set up a booth where you can snag one of their tote bags and get a discount card to for one of their awesome tanks online. GoldynGlow Turmeric Superfood Blends are proprietary mixes of turmeric, superfoods and healing spices. Saara Vakil, founder, created her first turmeric blend for personal use, after she was “diagnosed” with fibromyalgia. “Through my research for a natural cure I discovered turmeric, the most potent anti-inflammatory natural supplement, to fight inflammation. Mobot, founded by Lani Cooper and Brad Taylor, did a giveaway during the book signing. Mobot, “the world’s most portable foam roller” is the world’s first water bottle that doubles as a foam roller.
