Last weekend (September 15) Emmy nominees were celebrated at an exclusive luncheon honoring diversity in TV and film, and the importance of supporting continued efforts needed to change the face of the industry. At West Hollywood celeb hotspot Craig’s, WanderLuxxe founders Marti Hines and Lola Wood honored 2018 nominees with a crystal award statue. WanderLuxxe provides luxury membership service and concierge catering to the entertainment industry.

The following nominees were honored: Sarah Silverman for an outstanding Variety Sketch Series (I love You, America), Kelly Jenrette for a guest actress in a drama series (Handmaids Tale) – who is married to Melvin Jackson Jr recognized for an Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Drama Series.

Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown was nominated for Outstanding Structured Reality Program along with Netflix’ Glow stars Jackie Tohn and Ellen Wong. John Legend and Mike Jackson were recognized for Jesus Christ Superstar and 9 time Oscar nominee, Emmy, Grammy, and Golden Glove winner Diane Warren received the Legacy Award. As an introduction to her award, her latest song “I’ll Fight” played which was performed by Jennifer Hudson from the acclaimed documentary RBG. Diane has written some of the most touching and powerful songs. It was a privilege to be in the room surrounded by so many hard-working entertainment industry folks.

Guests indulged in Craig’s signature favorites such as spaghetti squash, tuna tartare, and sesame crusted salmon. Partners for the intimate luncheon included Variety and Heineken, LVE Wines, Perrier Jouet, and specialty cocktails featuring Hiro Sake and Absolut Elyx. Mac Cosmetics and custom WanderLuxxe candles were fun take-home goodies.
