The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Resort + Casino added a new edition to this swanky youthful hotel – The Barbershop! Officially known as The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, this new modern barbershop allows gentleman to kick back in a barber’s chair for a classic cut, beard trim, or straight razor shave, all under the helm of barber Jose Sosa and his nationally renowned grooming team.

Guests can sip complimentary fine-aged whiskeys and beer while getting pampered. In the evening, enter through the barbershop’s Janitor Closet to a posh hideaway bar complete with leather couches and a small intimate venue for shows.

Our evening started with an indulgent Italian dinner at Scarpetta (also located in the Cosmopolitan Hotel) consisting of short rib tagliatelle, branzino, squid ink pasta with uni, and their signature award-winning caramel budino with a table view overlooking the dancing water fountains lit up outside. We had flown in for a 24-hour dose of Las Vegas for the Grand Opening of The Barbershop, and excitedly a private performance by Gavin Rossdale and BUSH.

The beloved group of our youth performed a killer emotional hourlong set of his best 90’s jams from Breathe In, Breathe Out, Glycerine, Machine Head, and Love Remains the Same. While our core group flocked the stage for close-ups of Gavin’s hair, jokes, and passion play, guests mingling included Gilles Marini and wife Carole, Trace Cyrus and fiancee Taylor Lauren Sanders, Samuel Larsen, AnnaLynne McCord, Rachel McCord and husband, Diana Madison, Philip Boyd, Ballers’ Carl McDowell, and more plus The Barbershop’s owners, nightlife partners Andy Masi, Jason Craig and Ryan Labbe of Clique Hospitality. Other industry VIPS such as the Houston brothers, Jeff Beacher, and Larry Rudolph also stopped by to join in the festivities.

While VIP tables savored Angel’s Envy whiskey at the opening, you can say goodbye to the velvet rope for this cooler Prohibition -era lounge vibe which will feature weekly programming, DJ sets, an extensive whiskey selection, and modern takes on vintage cocktails.

Tonight (March 16) the Barbershop’s debuts its house band, The 442s, comprised of guitarist Ben Carey with singers Justin Carder and Shawn Eiferman, bassist Eric Runquist and drummer Chris Lukes, all well-respected musicians who spent years touring with their respective bands of Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon and Savage Garden.
