Sunday Supper: Celebrating Maggie Baird’s Support+Feed and Billie Eilish’s LA Magazine cover over Italian vegan

You may have thought we stepped into a Killers music video or a Stanley Kubrick film on a December Sunday in the Highland Park area of LA, but the iconic Italian historic Garibaldina Society is authentic and located not far from where singer-songwriter mega star Billie Eilish and her family grew up.

The Italian Sunday Supper was hosted by Daniella Monet to honor Billie Eilish’s mom, Maggie Baird, and to bring awareness to Maggie’s charity, Support + Feed. The event began with a heartwarming gesture as Maggie Baird received a generous donation for her charity. This initiative aims to make plant-based eating more accessible around the globe and to help solve the climate crisis.

The tables at the Garibaldina Society were adorned in traditional Italian style, featuring red and white checkerboard tablecloths while a bocce ball court was behind one bar – all enhancing the ambiance. Beloved singer Billie Eilish was also celebrated as the newest LA Magazine decorated the tables, with Eilish on the cover. An Italian songstress added to the evening’s charm, whose melodies kept the dance floor lively throughout the night. We spotted our favorite rockstar Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction at the table next to us and clinked one too many Negronis with friends in attendance.

Aligning with the Sunday Supper brand’s dining concept, guests enjoyed plant-based Italian food served family style, reminiscent of a good ole Italian supper. Guests noshed on salads, bread with olive oil, and Sunday Supper’s Italian handcrafted ready-to-bake vegan dishes like lasagne with sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes slow-cooked to retain freshness and flavor and soon-to-be-launched ‘Mozza Fritto’; delicious plant-based Mozzarella Sticks with golden, crispy exteriors and enticing cheese-y pulls, that can be delivered to your home.
