The Pro Padel League (PPL), the world’s leading professional padel league, brought an exciting tournament featuring the sport’s top professional padel players to Los Angeles through the weekend of August 13th – 16th, held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA.

Ahead of the competition, journalists, photographers, and content creators were invited to attend an exclusive press conference featuring PPL CEO Mike Dorfman, team representatives and professional players that participated in the Los Angeles event, in addition to VIP courtside lounge access with front row view of the games throughout the competition weekend.

The Pro Padel League arrived in Los Angeles, transforming Barker Hangar into a hub of world-class padel. Throughout the weekend, fans witnessed four days of competition that featured ten teams and more than forty elite players. The venue was an intimate atmosphere with lounge seating, premium hospitality, and exceptional sightlines, making it a rare opportunity to experience professional padel live in the city this year.
Each group stage session showcased two team matchups, with four matches across both men’s and women’s competitions. The excitement culminated on Sunday’s Podium Day, where the third-place and championship matches decided the final standings.

In addition to the padel community and enthusiasts, a few notable guests making a special appearance at the Los Angeles tournament were Jamie Foxx, Alexis Knapp (actress, Pitch Perfect), Malcolm Kelner (actor, Obsession), Tyler Posey (actor), Diego Boneta (actor), Luca Castellani (actor, model), and Elizabeth Whitson (actress).
After covering the inaugural Palm Springs Pro Am in April hosted at the Parker Palm Springs by leading travel company FORA, we were inspired to try out the sport. We loved playing padel on the dreamy Parker Palm Springs padel courts with desert palm tree mountain views, as now travelers are seeking out tournament festivities across the globe and even hotels with Padel courts.

The event in LA marked the league’s second stop of the 2026 season, bringing together all 10 PPL teams and more than 40 of the world’s top men’s and women’s professional players for four days of elite competition at the historic Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
The Los Angeles tournament followed the league’s successful season opener in New York City and will continue the PPL’s North American tour before stops in Playa del Carmen, Guadalajara, and the City’s Cup Finals in Miami.
