Feel Luxurious in your Bathroom – Use All Natural Skincare Products by Casto+Downs

Sometimes it’s the little things that can get you through a day or a morning. When I lived in England ten years ago, I lived in a small flat with a dingy bathroom that often had cold water and not a lot of shower pressure. The special soaps with luxurious fresh scents I bought there literally helped me through the cold morning showers. It seems so trivial, but sometimes a little perk goes a long way.

Recently, I discovered this All Natural Goodness created by Casto+Downs Skincare Products, and fell in love with their thick long lasting soap scent combinations, lavish whipped body butters, and shower scrubs.  My shower time is tres happy!

My favorite thick chunky soap is the black Blemish Bar made from activated charcoal which draws out impurities and unclogs pores. The Blemish Bar also contains Tea Tree, Rosemary and Black Willowbark to further aid in healing problematic skin. I have been using it in the shower on my face and body. My skin feels instantly clean. Also, I adore the Peppermint and Lavender Soap. Not only does the lavender relax me, but the peppermint is invigorating. The essential oils included have been known to relieve headaches, itching skin, and soothe the common cold or flu. This soap is so thick it will last at least several months and I wouldn’t be surprised if it lasts half a year.

The Bergamot and Grapefruit Body Butter is so creamy, it’s addictive with its clean ‘wake you up’ scent that nourishes my whole body after each shower.  Other scent combinations include Geranium and Rosemary, Peppermint and Lavender, and Patchouli and Citrus. I thought the patchouli would stink, but it smelled delicious!

Another shower favorite is the large 16 oz. container of Peppermint and Lavender Body Polish with glycol acid – perfect for sloughing off dead skin cells. The cane sugar, coconut oil, shea butter, avocado oil, bees wax, capryl glycol, and essential oils leave your new scrubbed skin glowing and supple. And if that’s not enough, Casto + Downs created all natural lip balm, like Coffee Butter (hmmmm!), Peppermint, and Bergamot and Grapefruit.

Since Casto + Downs Skincare Products are all natural, they use preservatives like vitamin E, grapefruit seed extract, and capryl glocol, a plant derived preservative and skin-conditioning agent. Due to the products’ shorter shelf life, they make their products in small batches and stamp each batch with its own distinct batch number and expiration date to ensure the product’s quality and freshness.

A lot of companies claim to be all-natural and healthy. But their ingredient labels tell the true story. Created in Coldwater, Michigan by a mom whose daughter was affected by stage makeup, she wanted to find healthy solutions and chemical-free alternatives for her daughter, which lead to her experimenting with natural ingredients for years. She found that even some “all-natural” skin care products and cosmetics contained skin irritants and chemical preservatives.

Their handcrafted soaps not only make lovely gifts, but are a perfect way to pamper yourself. Their fresh smelling calming soaps, creamy lotions, and lavish smelling scrubs not only help you feel better and smell delightful, but your skin feels refreshed and looks youthful. It also feels good to know you are not using irritants that can cause longterm damage later on. Casto + Downs make shower time feel like an escape.
