The House of Blues was abuzz with live music, trendsetters, and do-gooders as the space was taken over for The IMAGINE BALL to benefit Imagine LA Thursday, June 4. Hundreds of guests spent a $100 or more to help homeless Angelenos.
Guests were recruited to become a mobile volunteer to end family homelessness and chronic poverty in Los Angeles. Imagine LA’s innovative Family Mentorship Program matches each family member with a one-on-one mentor, such as a Budget Mentor. Volunteers can also help with tutoring, childcare, meal-planning and more. Imagine LA’s professional staff train and guide the Family Mentor Teams through the Program with three main goals for the family: maintain housing, attain self-sufficiency and ensure every member of the family thrives. Their goal: One Team. One Family. A lifetime of change.
David Arquette (looking dapper in glasses) and his wife came in next to me as David talked to media on the red carpet. His gorgeous and sweet wife was waiting outside for him as she spoke of their now two year old giving her back problems since he is 30 pounds. Inside I meandered around as the HOB’s many bars filled up while the show began. Another Patrick Schwarzenegger sighting occurred, before he was presumedly jetting off on a plane. Co-Chairs Randall Kaplan & John Terzian (h.wood Group) brought a posh stylish crowd.
Live performances included The Madden Brothers (Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie lovers), Brave Native, Bad Suns, and DJ beeFOWL, while emcee Omar Miller kept the night in check.
SPONSORS included Guess, Capital Group Companies, Capital One, Kiesel Law LLP, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities, Alex Nicolaou, Wurrly, Alliance Bernstein, Cedars Sinai Medical Group, Suneel Gupta, Kimberly Hatchett, Teddy Kupar, and Lisa Maki.
