This weekend, June 27 and 28, seize the opportunity to learn some tips from a professional National Geographic photographer storyteller, Gerd Ludwig.

Ludwig will divulge his own photographic techniques he uses when working for National Geographic, such as the recent methods he used photographing food truck food, people enjoying the trucks, and the trucks themselves. He will reveal his tricks and tips to create candid, unexpected and unique images in uncontrolled environments. Join me in the Beginner Workshop this Saturday from 10 AM – 1PM.
Beginner Workshop: Ideal for photography enthusiasts looking to improve the quality of their images, even if their only camera is their phone. Ludwig will teach how to consider backgrounds, depth of field, light, color, shapes and cropping to make images interesting even with less expensive camera equipment. During the lunch break, food trucks will be on-site for students to purchase food, photograph and practice new skills.
Ideal for photography enthusiasts looking to improve the quality of their images, even if their only camera is their phone.
Tickets: $99 pre-sale ONLY.

Advanced Photography Workshop (Sunday, June 28 from 2 – 6 PM):
This workshop is geared towards amateur and serious photographers who are interested in taking their photography to the next level.
Starting briefly with basic information similar to the beginner workshop, Luwig will add further technical instruction, such as choice of lenses, lighting and filters, including the many uses for on-and-off-camera strobes when photographing the varied situations in everyday life, using images from his previousNational Geographic assignments as examples. From landscapes to nightlife, he will emphasize the importance of thinking outside the box to create more unusual, engaging, surprising and personal photographs. Approaches to using light, color, shapes, background, depth of field, and composition will be covered. Ludwig will also explain how content and composition work in unison to tell a story.
Tickets: $150 pre-sale ONLY.
