Fashion for Breakfast combines two of my favorite things- style and brunch. Every few Thursdays Fashion for Breakfast is held at Cecconi’s West Hollywood with a special fashionista guest.

After wanting to attend for over a year, I finally had a Thursday morning free, and with a hefty amount of women trying to get in, I was thrilled to finally make the cut. For $15 (including tip) you can choose from one of many delicious and healthy breakfast options and mingle with like-minded peeps. I loved the table of girls I happened to sit with – a fashion photographer, the Founder of WEARAWAY, an upcoming Fashion rental marketplace App, and a fashion blogger who brought along her mom.

Mr. Kate was the special guest who wow-ed us with her jokes, realism, and brash personality. Known for her jewelry line I have seen for years now all over LA, she is also an expert on fun DIY interior design ideas. Now Mr. Kate has continued with my flash tat obsession with her own personalized  Beauty Marks. How about some gold freckles?

Her new fabulously fun book called, A Hot Glue Gun Mess, filled with funny stories and pretty DIY projects is next to my bed. She has me thinking of ways to glamorize my cactus, make booty bags from jeans, create a sexy glitzy peekaboo sweatshirt, and stylize my headboard with objects and white paint. Mr. Kate is like the cool, edgy LA Martha Stewart. The ideas in this book are priceless, creative, fierce and inventive. She offers many tips to amp your wardrobe or decorate your home on a budget. Time to buy a glue gun!
