J.D. Luxe fashion truck gets grounded

Our absolute favorite lifestyle and fashion destination, the J.D. Luxe fashion truck, that we’ve followed

around LA just became a bit grounded with a new storefront in Woodland Hills at Westfield’s “The Village” in Topanga. From their humble beginnings of a one of a kind mobile boutique, LaLaScoop has followed them all over town, from Sundays at the Melrose Place Farmer’s Market to Saturdays at Rosenthal Wines in Malibu. We’ve been happy to see them pop up all over the city, from BeautyCon to even farther LA escape destinations like Coachella.

Their effortless styles, boho chic, California flair, unique accessories, and show stopping pieces have made this our go-to special spot. The beautiful wall size white dream catchers with natural pieces can often be seen hanging off the back of the truck, for sale. Some of our favorite finds have included sexy and elegant flowing dresses, fringed crop tops for Coachella, string boho sandals, soft tanks, flower crowns, fedora felt hats, and more. Every piece is hand selected with you in mind to create a look to express yourself.

J.D. LUXE’s Official Flagship mobile truck boutique debuted this Saturday, September 19th for their first official on-site retail installation with Westfield, which will be in addition to their ongoing retail store truck. The truck & mortar fashion store offers a unique selection of apparel, shoes, jewelry, books and candles. The products carried by J.D. LUXE range from that of local designers to upscale household names such as Rails, Lack of Color and Samantha Wills.

Bordering Calabasas, home to many celebrities, Westfield’s The Village is located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. It is being branded as an open-air lifestyle destination where people can share a variety of experiences in addition to dining and shopping.

Jordana Fortaleza, Co-owner of J.D LUXE and LA native says, “Ambience is key. The décor of the store was just as important as the merchandise we carry. We want to create a unique shopping experience when people enter our store. We also encourage our customers to utilize the outside space. J.D. LUXE The Village is a collaboration of fashion, innovation and fun!”

Staying true to its roots, the flagship store was built around an actual utility truck from the 60’s. Co-owner Tyler Kenney repurposed the truck to build the 200+ square foot retail space. J.D. LUXE collaborated with Brittaney Elise (Minton), who has clients ranging from local businesses to celebrities such as Selena Gomez, to create the interior design of the space.

Kenney added, “In the past four years working on our original truck, we’ve listened and adapted to the wants and needs of our customers. We were able to gather first-hand input in order to create what is now “J.D. LUXE The Village.”
