DineLA is back January 18 – 31 and what better way to sample some of the best restaurants in our foodie city with multiple courses offered at affordable prices for lunch and dinner. Check out some of our favorite restaurants to dineLA.
Restaurant: Estrella
Chef: Dakota Weiss
For the first time, Estrella will be part of dineLA since its opening last fall. Set within a boho chic setting and complete with an expansive outdoor dining patio in the heart of the Sunset Strip, lunch will be offered for $20 with the option to add on dessert for an additional $6. Menu highlights include a Peking-Duck Sweet Potato Croquette, Grilled Skirt Steak and a Bittersweet Chocolate Caramel Bar.
Restaurant: Faith & Flower
Faith & Flower, located in Downtown Los Angeles and featuring impressive design elements, such as a wall mural by noted LA artist Robert Vargas and a stunning gold chandelier, will be offering lunch for $25 & dinner for $49. Menu highlights include Plancha Seared Petrale Sole, Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin and a Hazelnut Chocolate Feuilletine for dessert.
Restaurant: Hinoki & The Bird
Executive Chef: Brandon Kida
Participating in dineLA for the first time and a Los Angeles staple among celebrities and industry heavyweights, Hinoki & The Bird will be participating in dineLA’s Exclusive Series for $105. Hinoki & The Bird’s menu will transport guests to far-flung locales. Menu highlights include Local Albacore with winter citrus and avocado textures, Smoked Short Rib with caramelized sunchokes and winter truffle jus and Santa Barbara uni with buckwheat soba and lemon confit.
Restaurant: Terrine
Executive Chef: Kris Morningstar
Menu: Highlights include Terrine’s signature, decadent Burger with Truffle Butter, Sage Aioli, and Concentrated Tomatoes at lunch; and Wagyu Beef with Brown Butter Pomme Purée, Lambs Leaf Lettuce, and Crunchy Salad for dinner. Menu: Highlights include a Prime Ribeye Sandwich with Savoy Cabbage Slaw and Horseradish Crème Fraiche at lunch; and Crispy Duck Leg Confit with Braised Lacinato Kale, Pinot Noir Jus, and Chestnut Honey for dinner at this hidden gem designed by Kelly Wearstler that evokes the feel of a mid-century modern setting by way of Palm Springs. Restaurant: Sambar
Chef: Chef and Owner Akasha Richmond
Savor a Culver City lunch for $15 and dinner for $29 with dishes that focus on the multi-regional traditions and cooking of India from the truck stops (dhabas) found off of the highways in India, to the modern and inventive techniques found in the fine dining establishments of New Delhi or Mumbai. Restaurant: Fogo de Chão (located in Downtown LA and Beverly Hills)
Available at dinner for $49 is a Full Churrasco experience including the Market Table and Feijoada Bar, continuous service of 8 different cuts of meat, a selection of traditional Brazilian side dishes, and a choice of dessert.
Restaurant: The Restaurant at Mr. C at Mr. C Beverly Hills
Executive Chef: Giuseppe Manco
Featuring classic Cipriani cuisine, the lunch menu highlights include: Tuna Tartar with Avocado and Crispy Frisee; Baked Green Tagliolini with Ragu of Veal; and Chicken Spezzatino with Marsala Sauce and Mashed Potatoes ($25). Dinner menu highlights include: Octopus and Potato Tartar with Chives and Citrus Dressing; Linguine Pasta with Zucchini Pesto and Crispy Walnuts; and Sea Bass with Cherry Tomatoes, Capers, and Oregano ($49). At the go-to Santa Monica California seafood restaurant featuring fresh fish daily, lunch highlights include Pumpkin Soup with wild mushrooms, and truffle crostini; and Cioppino, seafood soup with roasted garlic ciabatta ($25). The 16-year old two Michelin-star Santa Monica restaurant will be participating in dineLA’s Exclusive Series with a fine dining five-course menu for $95. Highlights include Santa Barbara Ridgeback Prawns with turnip, mustard, and pea tendril broth; Caramelized Chatham Bay Cod with salsify, white mushrooms, and chestnut emulsion; and Lamb Shank Ravioli with braised shelling beans, charred onion, and rosemary scented lamb jus.
