Cameras were flashing and lights were shining as MAXIM’s most beautiful women from across the globe descended upon The Hollywood Palladium to celebrate the magazine’s 16^th annual Hot 100 on Saturday evening.  Karma International produced this star-studded event hosted by Stella Maxwell, defining a night of contemporary Hollywood glamour.  It was such a treat to attend as a special guest of LaLaScoop!

After walking a lengthy red carpet with interviews by Caitlin O’Connor and dozens of photographers from publications worldwide, guests entered the party surrounded by giant displays of some of MAXIM’s hottest covers from 2016.  The focal point of the high-impact entryway was a larger-than-life sculpture of a model wearing a couture gown made exclusively of MAXIM centerfold pages. Between the MAXIM models’ stunning gowns, men dressed up in tuxedos (a rarity in Los Angeles!), and the high-fashion elegance of this impressive entrance, guests knew they were in for a night of beauty and decadence.

Just before entering the doors of the main event, guests could admire three large silent auction tables featuring an extensive array of autographed basketball and football memorabilia, signed movie posters, and collector’s art items, and we were offered both a sip of H2rOse – flavored water made with rose petals – and a generous Best Damn Root Beer float.  The peach flavored H2rOse was delicious, and the float was nothing short of a supreme dessert.

And finally… into the party!  A stellar light show and a lineup of some great DJs created a festive mood right away.  The dance floor was divided by a large stage protruding into the audience, and VIP tables (behind an ever-exclusive velvet rope) lined the catwalk.  My girlfriends and I decided to loop around to check out some of the fun attractions that circled the dance floor, like the fabulous Gallany Cosmetics make-up booth.  Make-up artists applied complimentary touch-ups to guests all night long, and they even gifted fabulous lip-glosses, lipsticks, and mascara in exchange for some social media follows!  It was a lot of fun trying on a few different shades from Gallany’s bold line and then snapping some video .gifs at the HotPoint photo booth!

After some dancing, enjoying delicious passed hor d’oeuvres, and taking in a couple drinks at one of several busy bars, the main event finally came just past midnight…  A special intimate performance by Iggy Azalea!  She performed two songs, including her Billboard #1 “Fancy,” and “Work.”  Ms. Azalea stunned fans as she entered the party in a shocking floor-length sheer black gown, but she changed into a sexy two-piece number for her performance. She brought her dynamic energy to the two songs she sang, but certainly left the audience wanting more. Nick Cannon and RedOne were also featured performers, making for a fantastic line-up!

Other celebrity sightings throughout the night included Mel B, Amber Rose, Russell Simmons, Too Short, and Tyson Beckford. Reality TV stud Brendan Fitzpatrick, football star Bret Lockett, and actor Charlie Kootz of “Community” were also in the house, not to mention models, models, models from every continent of the world!

Everywhere you looked, everyone was beautiful.  Everyone was having a blast. The 2016 MAXIM Hot 100 party was truly a night to remember.
