It was the weekend before Halloween and all the good little boys and girls in LA were clamoring for their invitation for Maxim’s annual Halloween extravaganza where girls can find an excuse to dress naughty and guys can gaze in admiration at all the scantily clad costumes. This year’s event produced by Karma International was not at a Beverly Hills mansion, but a location kept private until the day before. The venue held at The Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles was transformed by Creative Director Ryan Patterson and his team into a decadent haunted playground, the Karma Forever Cemetery, all for a bloody good time!

Of course, Hollywood’s best set and production designers created multiple graveyards (where snow was actually falling throughout the evening) with frightening haunted vignettes. Guests encountered dozens of scare actors, themed performers, experiential production, and immersive lighting and sound. Even a haunted house was on site for those brave enough to enter.
Numerous bars with specialty cocktails provided by CÎROC Mango, Tequila Don Julio Blanco, Don Julio 1942, and Monster Energy kept guests happy. All of the beautiful MAXIM bottle service girls were decked out in stunning costumes courtesy of Foreplay. Guests were also treated to the Best Damn Root Beer floats, delicious catering from The Bird’s Nest, and delectable dessert bites from Belladonna Sweets.
Models from Pure Model Club and starlets like Aubrey O’Day, Rachel McCord, Dorothy Wang, Shane West, Eva Marcelle, Simon Rex, Tara Reid, Pauly D, Randy Jackson, Gilles Marini, Dan Bilzerian, Chris Brown, Tyson Beckford, and Zac Efron made for magnificent people watching. Every imaginable sexy costume was on display as well as a few Donald Trumps and a Ryan Lochte.
As the night crept on, Maxim Halloween 2016 felt more like Las Vegas night club as velvet ropes and tables aligned the massive exposition hall. Thousands of half naked girls and guys felt like kids again as they danced the night away with the Pope aka DJ Vice leading the massive crowd with jamming heart pumping tunes. A surprise appearance by Ne-Yo amped party goers, and Miami’s Lee Kalt, DJ CJ, and Steve Castro all spun captivating mashup hits.
The best part about this holiday is Los Angeles’s passion for Halloween. Maxim Magazine knows how to make memories. For more LaLaScoop, visit our Instagram for more videos and grams.
