Awards season is upon us, so we met with the expert stylists at RA_Bar Beauty, a boutique salon and all-inclusive beauty destination in West Hollywood offering high-profile clients privacy, to find out the current hair trends. The Golden Globes showed off hairstyles like sideswept bobs, sleek simple ponytails, and retro pompadours.  RA_Bar Beauty’s dynamic founders and stylists Kennedy Van Dyke and Audrey Rae, known for their expertise in the most cutting edge techniques in hair and beauty, shared the latest lock trends.

First, they said we can expect to see the simple pony and velvet hair, the latest trend in hair color. Also, natural, messy textured hair that looks like it was quickly styled and ready-to-go is still in style. The half up, half down tousled up-do, even with fabrics and velvet accessories, is the hair trend rage. Lastly, the girls coined the term “surface waves,” soft crimped, glossy waves often side-swept and sculpted, bringing an old Hollywood glam look.
