Never Leave LA

Nordstrom Local Inaugural Oscar Viewing Party for influencers and fashion insiders

Valet took my car and champagne greeted me as I sashayed in heels into the very first Nordstrom Local, located on the corner of one of my favorite streets, Melrose Place in West Hollywood. I tossed my Malibu flipflops aside early that afternoon to meet my friends to watch the Oscar’s at NORDSTROM LOCAL’s first ever viewing party.

The private event produced by A-List Communications served as a luxe home base with free-flowing bubbly, cocktails and mixology bar, gourmet food by STK LA, 4K HD viewing screens, red carpet arrival, signature nail bar, Instagrammable glam-cam moments and Nordstrom Gift Card prizes for guests to enjoy before hitting the red carpet Oscar® after-parties.

Nordstrom Local is a new concept and the first of its kind to open in the US. Newly opened in the fall of 2017, Nordstrom Local is a service center offering alterations, in-store or curbside online purchase pick up, personal stylists, Trunk Club, easy returns and exchanges, same day delivery and a nail bar. Nordstrom is definitely making shopping easier, especially in the online age when you need it now, want it now, and you order something online that you love and it needs to be tailored.

Nordstrom Local turned into a glam Hollywood haven Oscar night hosting influencers, industry VIPS, fashionistas and stylists to an exclusive Oscar viewing party. Gorgeous AnnaLynne McCord (First We Take Brooklyn/ Pop TV’s Let’s Get Physical) made an appearance in the best outfit we saw all night, a gold sparkly hugging pantsuit designed by Michael Costello matching the champagne floating around. The pantsuit-esque number had peekaboo cutouts up her legs to her stomach.

Other guests that enjoyed the party included Brandi Cyrus wearing Elizabetta Franchi, Greer Grammer (MTV’s Awkward, The Middle), Jasmine Dustin (Kendra), Lyndon Smith (Netflix White Famous), Gretchen Rossi (Bravo RHOC), and models Shaya Ali and Tifeny Moreira. Fashion influencers, such as Michael Costello, Xixi Yang, Sydne Summer, Roxy Manning, Taye Hansbery as well as stylists Naz Meknat and Franzy Staedter all mingled in dazzling outfits.

Even the night before, Nordstrom Local hosted a private Sony dinner for the 90th Academy Awards®celebrating one of the top nominated films of the 2018 Awards Season. Nordstrom seems to be headed in the right direction by infusing service, entertainment, shopping, and fashion. Oscar worthy.
