Awards Season in Los Angeles begins with many parties leading up to the big event, and this time the 70th Emmy Awards had LA abuzz.

Television and film producer Debbie Durkin hosted her 12th Pre-Awards Lounge to honor guests. On Friday, September 14 the Eco-Luxe Lounge at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills celebrated, honored, and pampered stars, nominees, and creative talent who work behind-the-scenes in the television industry.

While guests nibbled on bites thanks to Hilton on the sunny LA rooftop, live music was provided by various artists like Zeal Levine and our dear friend BMG recording artist Carly Robyn Green who paid tribute to Aretha Franklin as well as our own site LaLaScoop.

Guests mingled and flitted from various stations to sample and become aware of new products and services. Chariot Travelware showed off their new flashy fun durable suitcases while Villa Eyewear let guests try on their new hip shades. Beauty Kitchen Junkie Heather Mariana gifted her natural bath and spa products while BudTrader.com had hemp-friendly gear and cannabis products available. The Jamaica Tourism Board tantalized guests with their destination photos and take-home coffee beans, while Kindred Bravely displayed their comfy pregnancy nursing bras and panties.

We saw dogs in strollers as “Pet Moms” TV show filmed and interviewed celebrity pet parents. The event benefitted With Our Words (WOW voices), a non-profit youth literacy group of diverse slam poets from Stockton, California.
