Margot Los Angeles celebrated its grand opening at Platform in LA Thursday, January 17. The rooftop restaurant in Culver City is Rohan Talwar’s IB Hospitality Group’s newest project. This trendy hip rooftop space adds to the already chic shopping and dining mecca at Platform LA’s repurposed industrial building center complete with distinct boutique retailers like Soul Cycle, Blue Bottle, Aesop, Boba Guys, Janessa Leonne, Sweetgreen, and more.

Named LA’s Coolest New Rooftop by Eater LA, the multitude of glowing heat lamps at Margot make for a cozy date night spot with views of the hills in the distance. Situated above the metro line, find coastal Mediterranean cuisine, regional wines, and craft cocktails at this bright and spacious restaurant. A spicy Spanish wine and bites of succulent Iberico ham (prosciutto) made me want more. This outdoor dining patio with custom bar and lounge is perfect for dinner parties and small events while the interior dining room features floor to ceiling greenhouse style windows looking out over Los Angeles. Opening night was packed with every turkey in town. You were sure to run into people you met ten years ago. DJ sets were performed by Samantha Ronson, Brandi Cyrus and Zen Freeman while guests at the fete included Delilah Belle (Hamlin), Shoshana Bush, Ian Ziering and wife Erin, Gilles Marini and wife Carole, AnnaLynne McCord and sister Rachel McCord, and many more VIP guests and industry influencers. 

Harriet’s Rooftop in West Hollywood is another dreamy venue at the 1 Hotel (former Jeremy Hotel). The old fashioned cocktail lounge boasts panoramic views of Los Angeles paired with elevated herbaceous cocktails and bar bites meant to be shared. During the holidays, the garland glow matched the twinkly city lights creating such a breathtaking warm romantic mood.

Meet a small group of friends or impress a date in this jaw-dropping venue in the City of Dreams. Sip cocktails inspired by the garden-like setting such as Garden Party (Belvedere Vodka, St-Germain, Cucumber, Fresh Lime Juice, Blue Mallow Flower) or The JoJo with Absolut Elyx Vodka, St-Germain, Fresh Lemon, Strawberry, Sparkling Wine, and Rosewater. Share charcuterie, colorful crudite, or tomato onion flatbread. It will be a night to remember.
