The funds for these charities were raised through a live auction, silent auction and call for donations led by the auctioneer, Howie Schwartz, of Grandstand out of New York, which opened at the $100,000 level. For every $10,000 raised by SHARE at the event, 10 kids were supported for a year! First Vice President of Boomtown Party, September Sarno led the planning for the auction and the appeal, and First Vice President of Boomtown Show, Diane Forester, led the planning for the show.

This year’s honoree of the Shining Spirit Award was Joni Berry (Founding member of SHARE) and the honor was presented by Mitzi Gaynor, President of the Professional Dancers Society. The event took place at The Beverly Hilton’s renowned International Ballroom where The Midtown Men, from the original cast of “Jersey Boys,” performed. It also featured Broadway numbers performed by the SHARE members themselves, choreographed by Charlene Painter and produced by Gary Smith.

SHARE is led by Corinna Fields, President; Ellen Feder, Chairman of the Board; Mandie Rush and Linda Schlesinger (Treasurers); Adele Langdon, Secretary; Diane Forester, First Vice President of Boomtown Show; September Sarno, First Vice President of Boomtown Party; and Hannah Noval, Tribute Book Chair.
