Rosé Day L.A. kicks off summer in spectacular style

Rose Day LA on Saturday, June 8 was back in full force this year in Malibu, California for the second annual National Rosé Day presented by stylish Corkcicle (one of our favorite high-end canteen water bottles). Once again the mesmerizing event was set in Saddlerock Ranch known for its Malibu Wine Safaris. Guests could Uber or Lyft (thanks to a $25 credit with the Freebird app) in through the picturesque countryside passed bison, zebras, llamas, water buffalo cooling in the mud, and Stanley the giraffe in the distance.
But this year the event was orchestrated and planned in such a way that thousands of guests could easily frolic and meander the property with endless floral and landscape photo opportunities and numerous brand activations in the middle of the Santa Monica Mountains amongst the rolling vineyards. It almost felt like a mini Coachella party.
From noon to sunset (8 pm), guests enjoyed an elegant kick-off to summer. Beautiful people everywhere. Gorgeous, fun, and flirty outfits abound. Endless Instagram moments. Girls posing and boomerang-ing with the branded pink Rose Day LA sign. Girls posing in front of a vintage car draped in blush roses. Girls posing inside an old school VW bus. Girls posing near a vintage firetruck carved into the land spilling with flowers (perhaps left over from the fires). Girls posing in scenes that felt like St Tropez, on 2 seated bikes, and inside empty pink lifesize frames that framed the stunning landscape.
Guests indulged in various rosé day offerings inside their custom Rosé Day L.A. Corkcicle stemless drinkware. After our first round of G.H. Mumm Rose Champagne, we ordered bottles of Très Chic Rosé and Bertaud Belieu Initial Rose Wine that came with pink Rose Day Corkcicle stemless flutes. Other brands that guests could buy from $10 – $18 per glass or $40 – $120 per bottle included La Fête du Rosé and Bertaud Belieu Prestige Rose Wine (hosts of the annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala in St. Tropez). Hydration included the beautiful sparkling flavored Voss water station also gifting white hats with ribbon to match their flavors.
This year’s FOMO-inducing event celebrated everything Rosé with the addition of a Rosé Beer Garden serving a variety of Rosé beers and a Frozé Zone offering Viva Rosé Tequila margaritas along with a selection of Rosé frozen treats from Svedka Rosé Vodka and Crafters Union Rosé wine. Elegant vegan leather pink handbags, totes, and bucket bags (LINK) from Corkcicle, the elevated socially-responsible design brand, cascaded the grounds to keep bottles of rosé cold all day.
Food could be bought at numerous gourmet food trucks like Pink Taco, Green Truck, and Sweetfin. By days end, we devoured lobster tater tots and numerous hot “Connecticut-style” lobster rolls from Cousins Maine Lobster food truck. The perfect complement to Rose All Day! The Caviar Co. served sustainably sourced delectable treats while famed Iron Chef Marc Forgione prepared a special Rosé-inspired menu for invited celebrities, socialites and influencers. WOLO protein Wanderbars snacks were passed out to provided additional satiation for those that needed that extra pick-me-up to not keel over from too much rose.
Various Loreal Paris Infallible liquid lipstick shades and Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascaras (some even with gold glitter) were being gifted in gorgeous passed trays and at their lavish floral area donned with towers of macaroons. The one I chose to try out seriously didn’t come off til I scrubbed it off the next day with makeup remover. The perfect color stain to last all day.
Atop of the hillside, guests could rest and get their hair braided with Joico, cool off with a cryo facial, get a boost with a vitamin drip with Drip Theory, or sit at an elegant table in the shade while sipping rose. Even Jamie Foxx’s sunglasses could be bought for $30 from the Prive Reveaux Eyewear truck. Thankfully June gloom subsided as guests tried to find shade. Some made picnic style seating areas with the pink Rose Day LA blankets scattered throughout the property.

The highlight of the day included Jamie Foxx and Tiffany Hadish taking over the DJ area to keep us laughing and grooving to the tunes before a hovering helicopter appeared and showered the crowd with some 5 million rose petals. Actor and comedian Tiffany Hadish comparing it to a Disney movie. Haaaaaa! Jamie Fox made hilarious jokes as he spotted lookalikes in the crowd like Beyonce’s twin and Matthew McConaughey “brother” while it was not a fake callout that Odell Beckham Jr. was in the crowd. Malibu local Brody Jenner took on the next DJ set while his mom, wife, and friends danced and supported his tunes.

Guests of all ages and ethnicities danced, laughed, and swayed in wine bliss together. The day reminded us of why we love LA so much! I was happy to see a group of gloriously dressed females in wheelchairs spinning and whirling to the tunes in complete happiness.

Jordan, Taylor Lautner, Nicole ScherzingerG-Eazy, Michael K. Williams, and the ‘who’s who’ of Los Angeles’ entertainment, fashion and music communities. We were thrilled to see many heavy hitters who ran the Hollywood scene some 10-12 years ago or more in attendance.
