GBK Brand Bar’s Pre-Oscar Lounge returns in 2022 to gift nominees and support Ukraine

The ultra-exclusive Pre-Oscar Luxury GBK Brand Bar Lounge returns to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA in 2022 gifting attendees high-end watches and handbags thanks to sponsor eBay. GBK CEO Gavin Keilly will welcome nominees not only from the Oscars but SAG, Golden Globe, and GRAMMY Awards since this is the first lounge of the year.

With a 26-years selling high-value goods, eBay is the original luxury enthusiast marketplace, connecting 147 million buyers and 17 million sellers all over the world, and offering Authenticity Guarantee – its authentication service that vets and verifies inventory to ensure a trusted experience.

On March 25th and 26th, eBay will host the eBay & GBK Brand Bar Pre-Oscar Luxury Lounge at Beverly Hills Wilshire Hotel rose garden. Guests will be invited to participate in a private retail activation and personalized closet clean-out program in support of the American Red Cross to benefit Ukraine.

How can people help the Ukraine charity? GBK Founder Gavin shared with LaLaScoop that eBay is offering the celebrities the opportunity to clean out their closets and auction off anything they are not using anymore to benefit those in need in Ukraine or those who have left and need help in their new environment.  GBK Brand Bar will also be sharing a link so attendees and others can donate to Save the Children in their efforts to help kids from the Ukraine who need help.  GBK will also be auctioning off a gift bag to raise additional funds to help raise as much as possible!

As part of the coveted gift package at the annual Pre-Oscar Luxury Lounge & GBK brand bar, eBay will be gifting various luxury goods available on the platform from top-tier brands like OrisMontblancTag Heuer timepieces to Balenciaga backpacks, Saint Laurent clutches, and Bottega Veneta handbags – all authenticated through eBay’s expanding Authenticity Guarantee service.

GBK Founder Gavin shared, “In addition to that, we have a stand-up Arcade Machines, 4 different vacations, including a private Villa in Turks & Caicos @ SailRock Resort, amazing art, and NFTS, GE Cync making sure the celebrities have everything they need in their home, and House of M helping the talent get Red Carpet ready. Nominees and Presenters will receive over $85,000 in gifts and others lucky even to receive an invite will still receive close to $45,000 in gifts.”

With the sudden stop of all events during the pandemic, GBK quickly pivoted, shuttering GBK Productions and launching the GBK Brand Bar. During this time, a permanent, physical location opened at the Kimpton La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood, helping brands that would originally be showcased in gifting lounges continue to gain exposure even without lounges.

“The transition was difficult at first, but with the help of Nick Rimedio (GM of the La Peer Hotel) sharing our vision, now that we have created this, one-of-a-kind curated gift shop, we see opportunities in other cities to expand.  This is now a year-round opportunity for brands to get a maximum amount of sales, and exposure to all. Brands could grow their audience, with the added benefit of selling their products, not only to top talent and influencers but to sophisticated shoppers and global travelers. Things were tough during the last two years, but we certainly made it work for all.  GBK Brand Bar also gave celebrities and influencers the ability to come at any time, by an appointment basis only, of course.” – GBK CEO Gavin Keilly
