In a penthouse suite on Wilshire in Beverly Hills, the glamorous crowd convened one Friday evening after work for a private gathering of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, medical fashion and beauty demonstrations, featuring IRO Beverly Hills and Stitch Lab.
Male models walked around in Stitch Lab’s tailored scrubs. Their fashion mission is to raise the bar in quality medical wear by focusing on fit, function, fabric and fashion. Hosted by Leif Rogers MD and Rand Rusher RN, I mosied from one room to the next learning about procedures to keep us young. As one expert analyzed my skin via a machine, I was happy to hear that my skin looked great, and that I may be just a little dehydrated.
The aesthetic experience was broadened for me as I learned about Leif Rogers CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment and skin resurfacing treatments called Clear + Brilliant. Another new procedure called Ultherapy actually uses ultrasound to lift skin on the neck, under the chin, and on the eyebrow, without surgery. This ultrasound energy may take 2 -3 months for results, but apparently initiates the body’s response to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen and strengthen weak collagen. Latisse for eyelash lengthening was also on hand.
As I witnessed LA’s craving need to look and stay young forever, I perused another room where Ethan Snyder of IRO was showcasing their jaw dropping LA-ish designs from eye catching leather jackets, sexy tops, and more. The IRO Beverly Hills boutique is now open at 325 N. Beverly Drive.
After mingling over an amazing cheese spread and cocktails by Purity Vodka, I realized even more how Beverly Hills is the mecca for new procedures and grasping that fountain of youth. The gift bag was a fun addition to the evening, including many new products, such as SkinCeutical physical eye UV Defense, Oxygen Face Wash from RR Aesthetics, and beautiful hats to keep your face wrinkle-free from Obagi and Unbuttonit.com.
