LA comes up with everything or seems to present everything first. Tonight as I scurry down my neighborhood block in my navy Jack Purcell sneaks with my sparkling sneaker wings attached, I realized I probably should have dressed up for this occasion on lavish Robertson Blvd, but after hours in the car and on my feet, I love LA more because most of the time anything goes! After a week of dressing up and then dressing up again at night, I can’t imagine getting ready AGAIN.
Comfort is fashion and tonight I learn how I could’ve made my look way better with shoes that you can interchange the heels in every imaginable color and style. The first Tanya Heath store opens in LA because of course beautiful LA women shouldn’t suffer. Coming from Paris, these adjustable shoes bring removable heels.
As I’m greeted with champagne in this gorgeous elegant space filled with rows and rows of just heels in every color and design, my eyes are drawn to the sparkly glitter heals and the ones with spikes. You might as well really make your look special if you are going to buy pop-on-and-off heels!
The Parisian Tanya Heath created the world’s first adjustable height shoe with removable heels. Tanya, who was in town for the launch of the gorgeous new shop in West Hollywood, informs me that the concept of changing up your heels came from the idea of making it easy to go from work to play and throwing the heels (just the heels) in your bag! Oh, do I get that! Often I leave work to change in my car to head to an event, instead of fighting the breadth of LA traffic.
The shoes become multi-height because they are interchangeable with the heel collection. Every shoe can be worn with every heel. Your shoe will always have the right look and height for wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
The heels click on and off with the press of a button that is found inside the shoe. This important meeting point is always underlined with a silver/gold line, giving all of the shoes a more organic elegance and putting visual emphasis on the heel.
If you know LA, it is a city full of individuals. People want something different and definitely don’t want to look like anyone else. So the idea of custom heels is brilliant! Soon, you will be able to create your own individual look and design on your heel at the boutique in Los Angeles. Clients will be able to order the THP heel while they shop thanks to an in-house heel designer. A work of art can be created right in the boutique.
The price? Well, if I was buying them, they would be my one pair for the year. The pair I was ogling would set me back around $550 and that didn’t count the heel selection I would crave.
