WIN: LaLaScoop’s 12 Days of Giving in January

The holidays are finally over. Christmas and New Year’s eve sometimes feel like prom, where your expectations can be so grand and there’s always some sort of let down or sigh of relief when it is over. We all know we need to feel better after last year’s SH$TSHOW, so we thought what better way to start 2017 by giving away some of our favorite Los Angeles experiences.

Here’s the LaLaScoop

Please follow the LaLaScoop on Instagram to WIN. Giveaways will be scattered throughout the month of January, and most likely occur on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Winners will be selected randomly and notified within 48 hours via Instagram. Make sure you are following the rules stated under each Instagram post. Spread the word and share this post with your friends. You don’t need to live in LA to win. Thank you to the following 12 partners! We are delighted to share the LaLaScoop and let you sample the rewards.

$75 to dine at Franco on Melrose

A nondescript entrance with an unassuming kitchen leads you to a charming intimate back patio restaurant and bar where the La Brea Melrose hustle will soon melt away. The simple fresh ingredients as with every real Italian meal speak for themselves. Chef Franco de Dominicis is from a small southern Italian town on the Amalfi coast. He uses every ingredient to create flavorful simplicity, like being back in Italy. We encourage you to sample Fried Squash Blossoms with ricotta cheese and a red sauce, Calamari Fritti so crispy and light, Polpette (pork and beef meatballs), Burrata Caprese with heirloom tomatoes and pesto, and Carciofi with shaved artichokes, arugula and a zesty lemon olive oil with shaved parmesan cheese. Of course, there are endless sinful pasta options that can’t be surpassed like the thick layered meat Lasagna, the spicy Fusilli served with pork sausage beef meat ragu, Gnocchi, and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Indulge!

$50 to dine at Killer Shrimp in Marina Del Rey

Sip a cocktail on the water or pull up your boat at the Killer Shrimp dock. Killer Shrimp is the only place in LA that offers dock and dine in Marina Del Rey. Known for their Killer Shrimp bowl, the zesty broth with shrimp can be accompanied by even more seafood like lobster, corn, and crab. Watch out for that spicy broth and leave room for dipping and soaking the French bread in those ten hours of simmering juices. The shrimp is cooked and added to the sauce when ordered, served piping hot. Indulge. Watch the sunset. Killer Shrimp can be found in Marina Del Rey and Hermosa Beach.
